‘On the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu, we are choosing 100 villages as a pilot project for the development of agriculture and farmers in the future. We will turn them into digital villages and introduce a digital farming system there.
State Minister for Information and Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak expressed such optimism while addressing a function to distribute free ‘Aus’ paddy seeds and fertilizers among small and marginal farmers of Singra Upazila on Tuesday (April 13).
The state minister said modern technology would be used in 100 digital villages to increase mass production in agriculture. “We will use Internet of Things, technology devices to ensure the quality of soil there,” he said.
We have adopted a new project to use technology to increase production by reducing the cost of using the latest technologies such as drones, big data, Internet of Things and AI to increase production in animal husbandry and fish farming.
“We will try to export agricultural products all over the world by meeting the needs of 160 million people using technology in agriculture,” Palak said.
